The prospective groom's full name is Thomas Edward PINSENT (birth registered Q4 1977 - Merton). His parents are David Hume PINSENT (born April 1943) and his (former?) wife (married 1974) Alexandra Therese Emblyn KENDALL (born 18 X 1946).

David Hume PINSENT is the son of Basil Hume PINSENT (18 III 1911 - 11 VI 2000) and his wife (married 1942), Patricia A M ATTERIDGE (7 VII 1921 - 29 VI 1997). Basil Hume PINSENT was the son of Adolphus Ross PINSENT (1851 - 1929) and his second wife (married 1903), Ethel Mary Philomena WHITELAW (1869 - 14 V 1955).

Adolphus Ross PINSENT was the eldest brother of Sir Richard Alfred PINSENT, 1st Bt (3 VIII 1852 - 2 X 1948); their youngest brother, Hume Chancellor PINSENT (1858 - 20 I 1920) was the father of Hester Agnes PINSENT (16 IX 1899 - 20 V 1966), who was married on 14 June 1923 to Edgar Douglas ADRIAN, 1st Baron Adrian (30 XI 1889 - 4 VIII 1977).

Mrs Alexandra Therese Emblyn PINSENT, née KENDALL, is the youngest daughter of Capt Charles Edward KENDALL (1 I 1899 - 17 I 1978) and his wife, Cara Honoria PELLY (5 IV 1909 - 19 X 1996), of that Irish landed gentry family, formerly of Heronsbrook, County Galway.
