ORMEROD.-Brigadier Denis, CBE, (late 2nd King Edward VII's Own
Goorkhas, The Royal Irish Fusiliers and Ulster Defence Regiment),
suddenly, on Friday 11th February, aged 82. Beloved husband of Frances
and much loved father of 8, grandfather and great grandfather of
twenty-five. Funeral, at his request, strictly family only. No flowers,
but donations, if desired, to Benevolence Funds connected with the
above Regiments. There will not be a Memorial Service, however, a
Requiem Mass will be announced later.

The Brigadier's youngest daughter, the former Kartherine M. Ormerod
married in 1993, as his second wife, the Hon Edward Orlando Charles
Wood (b. 1951), son of the late Baron Holderness, PC, and a grandson
paternally of the 1st Earl of Halifax, KG, OM, GCSI, GCMG, GCIE, TD PC.
