Benjamin (Ben) James Goldsmith is the youngest son of the late Sir James Goldsmith and of the Lady Annabel Goldsmith, (nee Vane-Tempest-Stewart, sister of the 9th Marquess of Londonderry) & Kate Emma is the eldest daughter of the late the Hon. Amschel Mayor James Rothschild by his wife, the former Anita Patience Guinness (now Mrs James Wigan). Kate Goldsmith is a granddaughter paternally of the 3rd Baron Rothschild. They separated in 2012.
