Timothy William Baines SALLITT, CBE (21 III 1934 - 8 VIII 2008) was the brother of the authoress, Jilly COOPER, née SALLITT, CBE (born 21 II 1937). They were great-great-grandchildren of Sir Edward BAINES (28 V 1800 - 2 III 1890), proprietor of the Leeds Mercury newspaper, who was MP (Liberal) for Leeds from 1859 to 1874.

The birth of Mrs Angela Mary SALLITT, née GOODLET, was registered in Q1 1937 in Bucklow, Cheshire. She died on 9 February 2017, aged 79.
