_The Countess of Dudley, wife of the 91 year-old 4th Earl of Dudley, has died after a long illness. Prior to her nuptials in 1961 she was actress Maureen Swanson, a Rank starlet. She is survived by a son, Leander [ a future peer?] and by five daughters.

Thanks for posting that, curious that the Dudley's were described as
being one of the wealthiest families etc, from whence does their
wealth derive I haven't seen any family seats or land holdings. Though
I do recall something was said about the family wealth in the Complete
Peerage though can't recall what it was. Perhaps the more informed
members could enlighten us?
