_. Capt Peter Michael Evans Lombe, late the 15th/19th Hussars (formerly 3rd Dragoon Guards), who died 26 May, 2015, aged 81, was a scion of the Evans Lombe of Marlingford, formerly of Bylaugh landed family.
He was born 5 June, 1933, the only son of Maj John Michael Evans Lombe MC (1896-1938), by his wife the former Patricia Routledge Gibson; married 18 Jan, 1964, Vera Alexandra (Veracha), eldest daughter of Laurens R. Boissevain, of Amsterdam, and Monte Carlo, by whom he had issue, 2 sons, James-Nicholas, and Charles.
