Rosemary Viscountess Brookeborough, who died at Musgrave Park
Hospital, Belfast, 30 January 2007, was the widow of the 2nd Viscount
Brookeborough, PC (1922-87), who, as John Brooke, was Unionist MP for
Lisnaskea, in the Northern Ireland Parliament, 1968-72, who was Chief
Whip and Minister of State for Finance (NI), 1971-72; who succeeded as
2nd Viscount Brookeborough in 1973, and who died in 1987.

She was born in 1926 as Rosemary Hilda Chichester, scion of the
Marquesses of Donegall, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Arthur O'Neill
Cubitt Chichester, OBE, MC (1889-1972), by his wife, the former Hilda
Grace Young (descended from the Macnaghten Baronets), and married the
then Hon John Warden Brooke, in 1949. She leaves issue, Alan, the 3rd
Viscount; the Hon Christopher Brooke; Juliana; Melinda and Susie.

A Thanksgiving service is to to be held at Colebrooke Parish Church on
Friday 16 February, 2007.
