From the Telegraph of 23 Nov 2021: BROOKSBANK George, died on 18th November. Loved all the good things in life but especially his wife, friends, boys, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. Private family cremation, memorial details to be announced.
He was s of Stamp Godfrey BROOKSBANK 1922-2017 and Celia Dorothy 1919-96 d of Maj Hon Sir John Spencer COKE KCVO 1880-1957 (s of 2nd Earl of LEICESTER 1822-1909, gs of 2nd Baron CHESHAM 1815-82, 2xgt gs of 2nd Earl of HAREWOOD 1767-1841, and so on with the CARLISLE & SPENCER earls, DEVONSHIRE dukes etc etc) and Hon Dorothy Olive LEVY-LAWSON 1885-1937 d of 1st & last Viscount BURNHAM 1862-1933. He m 1985 Nicola b 1953 d of Michael Anthony Fendall NEWTON 1923-2006 by his 1949 m reg Q4 Sussex to Joanna K H b 1926 d of Godfrey HOLLAND 1872-1966 and Violet HOUSSEMAYNE DU BOULAY 1892-1972 scion of that gentry family f/o Donhead Hall, and had two sons including Jack Christopher Stamp b 1986 who m 2018 Princess EUGENIE of York b 1990 d of 1st [& last] Duke of YORK b 1960 (2nd s of The QUEEN b 1926) and Sarah Margaret FERGUSON b 1959 scion of that gentry family of Dummer, and had a son August Philip b 2021.
