From the Telegraph and Times of 27 February 2015: CRUWYS Geoffrey Edgar. Died 23rd February 2015, aged 94. Beloved husband of Peggy, father of Caroline and Guy, grandfather of six, and great-grandfather of thirteen. Funeral at Cruwys Morchard Church, 6th March at 12 noon. All enquiries to W.H. Squires.
He was s of Rev Robert Geoffrey CRUWYS (1884-1951) and Annie Gwendoline (1895-1964) d of Lt-Col John BENNETT IMS. He succeeded his uncle as head of that Welsh gentry family of Cruwys Morchard House in 1957. He m 1942 Mary Collingwood (b 1920 reg Q3 Lancashire) d of Arthur Collingwood LERMIT (1888-1954) and Edith Bower PARTINGTON (1890-1960), and had a son and a dau. The former, Guy Arthur Louis CRUWYS (b 1946) succeeds him as head of the family. Guy m 1972 Sarah June (b 1947) d of Hugh Lassam GOODSON OBE (1905-85), scion of the Bts of that name, and June Patricia (d 2015) d of Maj Joseph Charles HUNTER CBE MC DL (1894-1983) of Havikil Lodge, Scotton, Knaresborough and his 1st w Cicely Longueville (1898-) d of Richard Heywood HEYWOOD-JONES (1853-1900) and Caroline Margaret d of Francis John JOHNSTON and Caroline EARLE, and had a son (Robert b 1976, his heir who m 2004 Elizabeth Astrid (b 1977 reg Q2 Hampshire) d of Rodney E AISTROP (b 1943 reg Q3 Middlesex) and Jean I THOMPSON, and has a dau b 2005) and three daus (Emily b 1974; Mary b 1978 and Belinda b 1982)
