From the Telegraph of 10 Aug 2022: Lady Valerie. Died on 4th August 2022, peacefully at home, in Idlicote, aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Sir John Owen and devoted mother and grandmother. Her Funeral Service will take place at St Edmund’s Church, Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire... on Tuesday 16th August at 2 p.m. No flowers or black ties. She was d of William ETHELL of Solihull d 1988 by his 1925 m reg Q3 Yorks to Emily Alberta DALE 1904-92. She m 1952 [Hon Mr Justice] Sir John Arthur Dalziel 1925-2010 son of Robert John OWEN d 1941 of Solihull, W Midlands and Olive BARLOW (and bro of the LP Baroness SECCOMBE DBE b 1930), and had a son and a dau. The latter, Melissa Clare b 1960 is an actress and m 1985 as his 1st w (div 1997) the Hon Michael-John Ulick KNATCHBULL b 1950 s of the 7th Baron BRABOURNE and the Countess MOUNTBATTEN of BURMA) and had a dau, Kelly Louise Doreen b 1988.
