From the Telegraph of 26 Aug 2023: WHITAKER June (née Culverhouse) died aged 88 on 21st August. Beloved mother to Charles and Piers. Private family cremation at her request. No flowers, but donations if desired, to The League of Friends of the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

She was d of Stanley William CULVERHOUSE 1897-1972 (commercial traveller) of Weston-super-Mare by his 8 May 1926 m (St Mary the Virgin, Tyndell’s Pk, Bristol) to Gladys Amy Frances 1901-88 d of Edward Frederick HOUNSELL 1871-1941 (bank manager) of Wells Rd, Bristol, by his 26 Dec 1900 m (St Simon’s, Bristol) to Amy 1871-1931 d of Edmund BASHFORD 1827-1913 (corn merchant) by his 1857 m reg Q3 Kent to Mary BASHFORD 1832-. She m 1961 Wolstan John WHITAKER 1935-2010 sometime head of that gentry family of Winsley Hall, and had two sons:
