Maj-Gen Geoffrey de Egglesfield Collin, CB, MC, DL, died 14 Feb 2009,
aged 87; b. 18 Jul 1921, son of Charles de Egglesfield Collin; married
1949, Angela Stella Young; 1 son, Tim, and three daughters, (1)
Jennifer Anne (Jenny), who marr. 1972, John Cecil Howard-Vyse (b
1947), scion of that LG family and descended from the Barons
Middleton; (2) Jackie, & (3) Bridget. Funeral in the village Church
of St Mary's, Roecliffe, North Yorks. A Service of Thankgiving will
be held on 21 March 2009 in Ripon Cathedral.
