She died peacefully at home on February 2 after a short illness, with her family at her side.

She is survived by her sister, six children, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

A funeral for family and friends will take place at St Andrew and St Mary in Grantchester. Flowers can be made through Flowers Boutique and donations, if desired, will go to Grantchester Church.

A memorial service will be held in London later in the year.

GRANTCHESTER    The Lady Betty. Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday 4th September 2019 at St Martins-in-the-Fields at 3 p.m.


She was elder dau of Sir John MOORES CBE (1896 - 1993), sometime chairman of the Littlewoods football pools & retail company and Everton FC, and namesake of Liverpool John Moores University, and Ruby KNOWLES.

She m 1947 Kenneth Bent SUENSON-TAYLOR, 2nd Baron GRANTCHESTER CBE (1921 - 95) and with him had 3 sons and 3 dau, including the 3rd Baron.
