I wondered about his identity when I saw this last night. With nothing but a forename and surname, but no dates, age, survivors names, etc., were you able to find other information to indicate his identity? Even the location of the services is a generic London location, while in my copy of Burke's he was listed as living in Basingstoke.

The short answer to your questions is 'no'. I've taken a 'punt' on this in the hope that others in the group can provide further details to either prove or disprove the details.

Thanks, though as far as I know he works from the same information Richard and the rest of us use, and presumably has no more specifics on identity than we have. At least, he doesn't mention anything else.

I did wonder, the same information appears in 2019 Printed Version of DPB, so short of any other information its just guess work and we all appear to have guessed the same, does not mean that this is the same person.

I did some looking around - there is only one Richard BONSOR birth in Freebmd from 1915 to 1970.  Doesn't mean this is him, but the name is suitably rare.

However, there does seem to be another Richard BONSOR in electoral roll records resident near Coventry.

The last address I can find in ER records with Angus BONSOR and Susan BONSOR living together is 2014 Kings Lynn PE34

I found this 2023 planning application in the name of Ms S BONSOR for the Debrett's 2008 address for them in Ecchinswell.  Is Ms a clue?  Had they separated / divorced?

Apologies - there is a record of them living together in 2016 Newbury RG20 (this will be the Ecchinswell address).  Presumably they own(ed) multiple properties?
