Husband of the late Alexandra and dearly loved father of Harry, Milly, James and David, and beloved Grandfather. Funeral for family and close friends at Byford Church on Thursday Dec 14th at 2.00pm. Family flowers only. Memorial Service to be announced later.

S of Lt-Col Sir Richard Charles Geers COTTERELL 5th Bt (1907-78) and Lady Lettice LYGON (1906-73) d of 7the Earl BEAUCHAMP (1872-1938) and Lady Lettice Mary Elizabeth GROSVENOR (1876-1936, gd of 1st Duke of WESTMINSTER). He m 1959 (Vanda) Alexandra Clare (1940-2005) d of Maj Philip Alexander Clement BRIDGEWATER (1910-79) and Hon Ursula Vanda Maud VIVIAN (1912-84, d of 4th Baron VIVIAN), and had 3 sons and a dau as above. His eldest son succeeds him:

[Sir] Henry Richard Geers COTTERELL [7th Bt] (b 1961), has yet to establish his claim and appear on the Roll of the Baronetage. He m 1st 1986 Carolyn Suzanne (1955-99) d of John Moore BECKWITH-SMITH (1929-2005), scion of the gentry family of that name and of the ABERGAVENNY marquesses, and Susan Elaine (b c1935 reg Q1 London, d of Sidney Edward PARKES), and had 2 sons and a dau. He m 2nd 2002 Katherine Mary (b c1967 reg Q1 Surrey) d of Alec Gerald BROMLEY and Margaret M SHAW, and had a further son and a dau.
