From the Telegraph of 12 Sep 2025: FOX-PITT Peacefully at home, on Sunday 7th September 2025, Janet Mary (née Scrymgeour Wedderburn), of Cupar, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Mervyn, much loved mother of Leonie, David and Miranda, loving sister of Hermione, Elizabeth and Alexander, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Funeral service private.

She was d of Lt-Col David SCRYMGEOUR-WEDDERBURN DSO 1912-das1944 (yr s of de jure 10^th Earl of DUNDEE 1872-1924) and as her 2^nd of 3 h Patricia Katharine 1910-2012 (Patricia, Countess of Dundee) d of Lt-Col Lord Herbert Andrew MONTAGU DOUGLAS SCOTT CMG DSO 1872-1944 (s of 6th Duke of BUCCLEUCH &c 1831-1914) and Marie Josephine 1882-1965 d of James Andrew EDWARDS c1842-1884 and Kate Marion Agnes MACNAMARA 1849-1910. She m 1962 Capt (Edward Arthur) Mervyn Lane b 1935 s of Maj-Gen William Augustus Fitzgerald Lane FOX-PITT 1896-1988 scion of the PITT-RIVERS gentry family of Hinton St Mary & Rushmore and Mary Stewart 1908-96 d of Arthur Henry Havens SINCLAIR 1868-1962 (Who’s Who) of Rothesay Terrace, Edin. (sometime occulist to The KING in Scotland) and Mabel Kennedy TOD 1871-1947, and had a son and two daus as above.

Her sister Elizabeth, Baroness Teynham b 1943 is the widow of 20^th Baron Teynham d 2021.
