Here is a centenarian new to me. Her birth date confirmed by early Burke's Peerages, but her father's title became extinct in 1848, so no death dates for her appear there. Burke's Landed Gentry does not give a death date for her.

"Isabella Sarah Crompton was born in 1833 in Yorkshire. She was baptized on May 12, 1833, at Thornton-Le-Street, York, England. Her father was Samuel Crompton and her mother was Isabella Sophia. She remained a spinster until her marriage on December 4, 1860, at Hove St Andrew, Sussex, England, to Scott Frederick Surtees. Isabella Sarah Surtees passed away at the age of 105. Her approximate birth year is listed as 1835, and her death is recorded around 1940. She was buried on January 1, 1940, in Ticehurst, Sussex, England."

Her husband was Rev. Scott Frederic Surtees, of Dinsdale, Yorkshire, of that LG Family, himself a nephew of Sir John Caesar Hawkins, 3rd Bt.:

Her mother was a granddaughter of the 9th Lord Cathcart, and so Isabella's sister was a cousin of Earl Cathcart, her husband.

Though her marriage is documented in the Surtees articles, she is actually listed as unmarried in Debrett's editions in the early 1900s.

Michael Andrews-Reading has informed me that he discovered that " Isabella Surtees was admitted to Ticehurst House, a mental asylum for the very well off, in 1864, and remained a patient there until her death, a remarkable 75 years."
