Anthony Blunt a third cousin of the Queen Mother

This is probably not news for some of you, but certainly is news to
me.

According to a Daily Mail article on his forthcoming memoirs, his
mother Hilda was a second cousin of the 14th Earl of Strathmore.

Eveleyn Yorke of Yorke LG, and her son and daughter's descendants have
appeared in group postings]

Gertrude Emma Begbie, later Gertrude Mosley-Master; they had issue
including at least 3 daughters (two of them marrying Assheton
brothers)
12. Venerable Robert Mosley Master md his first cousin (through their
mothers)
13 Frances Mary Smith (ca 1802 -), sister of Oswald Smith
daughter of George Smith and Frances Mary Mosley
They had issue at least 1 son and 1 daughter recorded at

As you say, not news for some of us and a good example of the low
papers printing old news!
I remember sending the late Humphrey Lyttelton (scion of the V Cobham)
a family tree showing his many connections, including the to the
Adeanes and the Blunts and the latters kinship to HMQ. I half expected
a 'what a weirdo' response from 'Humph' but his reply was charm
itself. A beautifully handwritten note in which he said it was 'worse
than he thought' and how he had no idea he was related to so many
hereditary cutters of the royal toenails etc!
