A few notes:

Per BP 2003, Paul Sebastian (b. 1939) s. of Ronald Edward Tritton (1907-1990), of Cadogan Square, London S.W.9, High Sheriff of Essex (s. of Claude Henry Tritton, as above) and Andrina Frances (-1998), dau. of Ronald Paul Schweder, of Chelsea.

The 'Jane' and 'Francesca' mentioned in the announcement are no doubt his sister, (Andrina) Jane (b. 1944) and her daughter, Francesca Jane, by her husband David Roger Montgomery Zambra.

Not at all; these things happen when you post so much each day!

Re: the Tufnell family:

They were most recently treated in BLG 1965, 'Tufnell of Langleys' [Essex]; Maria Louisa being dau. of John Jolliffe Tufnell and his second wife, Eleanor Margaret, dau. of Rt Rev. George Murray (of the family of the Dukes of Atholl) and Lady Sarah Maria Hay-Drummond, dau. of the 10th Earl of Kinnoull.

J. J. Tufnell's mother was daughter of Sir Michael Pilkerton, 6th Bt [see the Milborne-Swinnerton-Pilkington baronets]; in other branches of the family were marriages with the families of the Wilmot baronets of Osmaston, Earls Lichfield, Earls of Rosebery, Jeffreys of Doddington Place, Barons Vernon, Earls of Mar and of Kellie, Pollard-Urquharts of Castle Pollard, and several others (details, as always, available if wanted).
