From the Daily Telegraph 25 May 2024:- PALMER Jillean Monica (née Sherston) on 18th May 2024, reunited at long last with her beloved Michael. Proud Yorkshirewoman, creative and energetic working wife and mother a generation before her time and an inspirational regimental wife. Macmillan Dorset County Chairman for many years. Vibrant and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Loved and admired by us all: she made a difference to so many lives. Funeral at St Mary's Church, Sixpenny Handley SP5 5ND on Friday 14th June at 12 noon.....

She was the d of Capt Geoffrey William SHERSTON MC (1891-1944), scion of the Sherston gentry family f/o Evercreech (BLG 1965) and his 2nd w (m 1921) Monica Dulcibella nee BARRETT (1893-1980) scion of the Barrett gentry family of Bar House (BLG 1965).  She m 1953 Maj Sir (Joseph) Michael PALMER KCVO (1928-2017) and had 2 sons and a d
