From the Telegraph of 18 June 2020: Mr E.H.H. Peto and Miss L.M-C. Leguen de Lacroix - The engagement is announced between Edward, younger son of Mr and Mrs Robert Peto, of Tilham Farm, Baltonsborough, Somerset, and Louise, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul Leguen de Lacroix, of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.

Louise Marie-Claire (b 1985 reg Q2 London) d of Paul C A LEGUEN DE LACROIX (b c1955 reg Q1 Surrey, s of Capt Giles Clement Alfred LEGUEN DE LACROIX (1921-2005), scion of the gentry family of that name of Chediston, and Paulette Yvonne (1920-2001) d of Paul Norton Patterson COOK of Los Angeles) by his 1983 m (reg Q2 London) to Carole E L (b 30 Jan 1952 reg Q1 London) d of David John Adam GOODENDAY (1924-2009) of Hampstead, London by his 1950 m (10 Nov, Monte Carlo) to Micheline Renee ASSO (b 1929) of Kensington, London.

Their younger son, Francis David GOODENDAY (birth registered Q3 1956 - Marylebone), is married to Robyn Ingersoll, née McCONNEL (born 9 IX 1962), who is a step first cousin of Diana Ruth, née McCONNEL (1922 - 2010), wife of the 8th Duke of Wellington and mother of the present (9th) Duke (after the death of the Duchess's paternal grandmother, Florence Emma Georgina, née BANISTER (1858 - 1925), her grandfather, William Houldsworth McCONNEL (III 1858 - 30 XI 1943) married secondly, on 20 January 1926 (as her second husband), Mary Edith (23 VII 1887 - 20 VII 1976) daughter of Sir William Cameron GULL, 2nd Bt, and widow of William Herbert WATNEY, of that brewing family. William Roger McCONNEL (born 6 VIII 1929), the father of Mrs Robyn GOODENDAY, was the only child of this marriage).

Micheline Renée, the former Mrs GOODENDAY, who died on 9 November 2016, had married secondly (as his third wife) Angus Keith Ingleby MACKENZIE-CHARRINGTON (1918 - 14 VI 2013), the son of Surgeon Vice-Admiral Sir (Kenneth) Alexander INGLEBY-MACKENZIE (1893 - 1961) by his first marriage, on 16 March 1917, to (as her second husband) Dorothy Elizabeth (1890 - 1967), daughter of Charles CHARRINGTON, of that brewing family, and widow of Captain Cecil Francis Harvey TWINING, of that family of tea merchants. Angus Mackenzie-Charrington was the last family director on the board of Bass Charrington, brewers.
