He was s of FM Sir Francis Wogan FESTING GCB KBE DSO 1902-76 sometime head of that gentry family of Birks and Mary Cecilia 1906-92 d of Cuthbert David Giffard RIDDELL 1868-1937 sometime head of that gentry family of Felton Park & Swinburne and his 2nd wife Evelyn Mary LIDDELL 1876-1932 scion of that gentry family of Warwick-on-Eden. He m 1972 reg Q4 London Teresa (Tessa) Carol d of Lt-Col John TAYLOR of Brunton House, Collingbourne, Wilts, and had a son (Thomas Henry Wogan b 11 July 1980, Times 14 July) and two daus (Katherine Teresa b 1973 reg Q3 Hants and Harriet Mary b 25 May 1975 reg Q2 Durham, Times 28 May)
