From the Telegraph of 13 Jan 2024: EARLE Sir George  died peacefully in his sleep on 1st January at home, aged 92, with his wife Dide and daughter Katharine by his side. He was s of Sir Hardman Alexander Mort EARLE 5th Bt 1902-79 and Maie 1906-86 d of John DRAGE 1869-1950 of Chapel Brampton, Northants by his 13 July 1899 m (St Editha, Tamworth) to Helen Mary ARGYLE 1876-1951. He m 1967 Diana (Dide) Gillian Bligh b 1939 d of Col Frederick Ferris Bligh ST GEORGE 1908-70 (gt gs of Sir Richard Bligh ST GEORGE 2nd Bt 1765-1851) and Meriel Margaret 1908-66 d of Lt-Col William Scott Warley RADCLIFFE 1866-1954 and Cecily Mary 1875-1955 d of Hon Cecil Thomas PARKER 1845-1931 (s of 6th Earl of MACCLESFIELD 1811-96, gs of 2nd Marquess of WESTMINSTER 1795-1869 who was f of 1st Duke of WESTMINSTER 1825-99, etc etc) and Rosamond Esther Harriet 1844-1936 d of Most Rev Charles Thomas LONGLEY 1794-1868 Archbishop of Canterbury  scion of that gentry family f/o Angley Park and Hon Caroline Sophia PARNELL 1806-58 d of 1st Baron CONGLETON 1776-1842 and Lady Caroline Elizabeth DAWSON-DAMER d 1861 d of 1st Earl of PORTARLINGTON by his w a dau of 3rd Earl of BUTE 1713-92 (f of 1st Marquess of BUTE 1744-1814) and The Baroness MOUNT STUART 1718-94 etc, and had a son and a dau. His son succeeds him:
