From the Times of 19 Nov 2024: ANSON John. Sir John Anson KCB died peacefully at Chorleywood Manor Care Home on 11th November 2024, after a short illness, aged 94. He is survived by his wife Myrica, son Christopher, daughters Rachel and Elizabeth, and grandchildren Tom, Matt, Joshua, Katt and Will. Thanksgiving service to be announced.

He was yr s of Sir Edward Reynell ANSON 6^th Bt 1902-51 and Frances Alison 1903-97 d of Hugh POLLOCK 1859-1944 and Alice 1868-1971 d of Cmdr Cornwallis WYKEHAM-MARTIN 1838-1903 [scion of the CORNWALLIS barons] and Anne Katherine 1839-1912 d of John Etherington Welch ROLLS 1807-70 and Elizabeth Mary 1813-79 d of Walter LONG 1788-1871 and Lady Mary CARNEGIE 1789-1875 d of 7^th Earl of NORTHESK 1756-1831. He m 1957 Myrica Anne b 1933 reg Q2 Bucks d of Dr H FERGIE-WOODS, and had a son and two daus as above.
