She was d of Cecil Henry Cobden HASLAM MP 1904-72 and Sylvia Lois 1905-77 d of Richard ASSHETON 1863-1915 (s of Ralph ASSHETON 1830-1907 – who was f of Sir Ralph Cockayne ASSHETON 1 Bt 1860-1955 (who was f of 1 Baron CLITHEROE 1901-84) – and Emily Augusta FEILDEN 1834-1916 scion of that gentry family of Witton Park). She never married.
