From the Times of 6 July 2022: RENNIE Jennifer Margaret, Lady Rennie, died peacefully on 1st July 2022, aged 87, after a short illness. Widow of the late Sir John Ogilvy Rennie KCMG, and formerly widow of the late Lt Julian Wemyss Rycroft RN. Beloved mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed. Funeral at Mortlake Crematorium at 4pm on Thursday 14th July. No flowers please, donations if wished to the Royal British Legion.

She m 1st 1954 Julian Miles Wemyss 1931-55 s of Col David Hugh RYCROFT 1907-44 (gs of Sir Nelson RYCROFT 4th Bt 1831-94, gt gs of Sir John OGILVY of Inverquharity 9th Bt 1803-90, 6xgt gs of 22nd Earl of ARUNDEL 1608-52 f of the 5th & 6th Dukes of NORFOLK etc) and Elizabeth Edith Dilys 1909-81 d of Capt Miles Bertie Cunningham CARBERY 1877-ka1914 by his 1908 m reg Q3 London to (Elizabeth) Dora d of Rt Hon Thomas SINCLAIR 1838-1914 of Hopefield House, Belfast and his 2nd w Elizabeth RICHARDSON. She m 2nd 1966 (as his 2nd w) Sir John Ogilvy KCMG 1914-81 s of Charles Ogilvy RENNIE of Greenock, Renfrewshire by his 1912 m reg Q2 London to Agnes Annette PATON 1887-1969.

Charles Ogilvy RENNIE (1875 - 10 VII 1944) was a director of the Bryant and May match company, of which his father-in-law, George William PATON (14 VIII 1859 - 23 III 1934), was Deputy Chairman and Managing Director. Mr Rennie's brother-in-law was Captain George Henry Tatham PATON, VC, MC (3 X 1895 - 1 XII 1917).

(Elizabeth) Dora SINCLAIR (10 V 1883 - 1966) was a sister of Captain Sir Kenneth Duncan Lecky SINCLAIR, DL, RNR (1889 - 1973), Chairman of the Board of Belfast Harbour Commissioners from 1948 to 1967. Sir Kenneth was an uncle by marriage of James Dawson CHICHESTER-CLARK (12 II 1923 - 17 V 2002), Prime Minister of Northern Ireland from 1969 to 1971, who was created a Life Peer as Baron Moyola in 1971.
