From the Telegraph of 25 April 2024: FESTING Virginia Mary sadly died on 17th April 2024. Private cremation followed by a Memorial Service at St Mary's, Swinburne on 18th June at 12 noon.

She was d of Lt-Gen Sir Richard Alan FYFFE KBE CB DSO MC 1912-72 and Diana Gwyneth 1912-2002 d of Maj Joseph Gwyn MOORE-GWYN 1879-1937 sometime head of that Welsh gentry family f/o Dyffryn and Olive GILBERTSON 1881-1946. She m 1968 Capt Andrew Thomas b 1941 s of FM Sir Francis Wogan FESTING GCB KBE DSO 1902-76 sometime head of that gentry family of Birks and Mary Cecilia 1906-92 d of Cuthbert David Giffard RIDDELL 1868-1937 sometime head of that gentry family of Felton & Swinburne and his 2^nd w Evelyn Mary 1876-1932 d of Matthew LIDDELL 1850-1934 scion of that gentry family of Warwick-on-Eden and his 1^st w Hannah Delaval ADAMSON 1853-1910, and had a dau:
