From the Telegraph of 28 March 2020 and Times of 27 March: HARTLAND-SWANN Julian Dana Nimmo, CMG, died peacefully in Brussels, Belgium on 23 March 2020, aged 84. Diplomat, gastronome and yachtsman. Husband of Julie and the late Ann, father of Piers. Private funeral in Brussels, to be followed by a celebration of his life at a later date to be announced. Donations, if desired, to Belgian Alzheimer's League...
He was s of Prof Joseph John HARTLAND-SWANN (d 1961) and Mary Beatrix Kenlis (1906-57) d of Capt Basil Reginald Hamilton TAYLOUR (1865-1936, gt gs of 1st Earl of BECTIVE (1724-95, father of 1st Marquess of HEADFORT)) and (as her 2nd h) Harriet Mary OSGOOD (c1878-1940). He m 1st 1960 Ann Deirdre (d 2000) d of Lt-Cmdr J R GREEN RN of Heliers, Shotley Gate, Suffolk, and had a son and a dau (according to his Who's Who entry). He m 2nd 2004 Julie Katherine RYAN.
