Is the unfortunate victim nee Joanne Blundell here, daughter of John
and Millicent Blundell, of Little Crosby, related to the recusant
family?

Her father John Blundell is 85, and her mother Millicent 84. I cannot
place them, and this is what I have so far:
1. Joanne Blundell (b ca 1963 d July 2008) md 1stly NN, issue 2 daus;
md 2ndly Anthony De Asha (b ca 1960) daughter of
2. John Blundell (b ca 1923) md Millicent __ (b ca 1924)
THE MAIN LINE
The Blundells I have appear to be from a collateral line of the
Blundells of Crosby. The main line died out in 1949 with 25 year old
Nicholas Blundell, descendant of the 14th Duke of Norfolk via his
mother Theresa (d 25 October 1979 aged 87 as shown on her tombsite on
a local website) married to the former MP Francis Nicholas Blundell
(1880-1936). The estate passed to the MP's daughter Hester Whitlock
Blundell (d. 1 Jan 2000 per her tombstone) and thence to her eldest
son Mark Blundell (b. 1950), the present owner of Crosby Hall.
POSSIBLE COLLATERAL LINES
Francis Nicholas Blundell had no brothers, but two sisters. His
father had a brother John Blundell JP (4th son shown by Ruvigny) who
left issue. It is not clear if this man's unnamed sons were ancestors
of Henry Blundell (b ca 1886 d 27 May 1954 aged 78) who married
Catherine (b ca 1892 d 1964 aged 72), or of a John Francis Blundell (b
ca 1910 d 2 Jan 1973 aged 63) and his elder brother Henry Blundell (b
ca 1908 d 29 June 1978 aged 70)

Nicholas Blundell md Agnes Smythe -> Francis Nicholas Blundell
(1853-1884) land agent -> Francis Nicholas Blundell (1880-1936) former
MP -> Nicholas Blundell (1925-1949) and his sister Hester (1928-1 Jan
2000) -> Mark Whitlock Blundell, now Mark Blundell (b. 1950)
Possibly
Nicholas Blundell md Agnes Smythe -> John Blundell JP (b. 1824) md
Catherine Middleton -> issue [possible ancestors of the three Blundell
males above, or of the unfortunate Joanne]
