From the Telegraph and Times of 16 March 2021: SMITH Jeremy Fox Eric, died peacefully on 13th March 2021 at home in Slaugham, West Sussex, aged 92. Much loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Private church service when restrictions lifted.

He was s of Capt Evan Cadogan Eric SMITH 1894-1950 (f of (Anne) Fortune, Duchess of GRAFTON b 1920) scion of that gentry family of Shottesbroke Park and, therefore cousin to many others including 3rd cousin to The QUEEN & The Princess MARGARET, 4th cousin 2xremoved of Col Sir Henry ABEL SMITH, 3rd cousin 1xremoved of 6th Baron CARRINGTON KG, 2nd cousin 4xremoved of 1st & last Marquess of LINCOLNSHIRE, 4th cousin 2xremoved of Sir Oswald MOSLEY 6th Bt etc etc. His mother was (Beatrice) Helen 1896-1988 d of Albert Henry WILLIAMS 1863-1941 by his 1891 m reg Q4 Surrey to Edith Annie COOK 1863-1916. He m 1953 m (Julia Mary) Rona 1934-2004 d of Lt-Col Sir Walter Raymond BURRELL 8th Bt 1903-85 and Hon Anne Judith DENMAN 1907-87, d of 3rd Baron DENMAN and gd of 1st Viscount COWDRAY, and had two sons and two daus, of whom the yst dau Sarah Helen, Mrs Ashley PRESTON 1962-2018
