He was s of Sir Hamilton Westrow HULSE 9th Bt 1909-96 and his 1st w (her 1st h, her 2nd was Algernon J R Lamb) Philippa Mabel 1901-86 d of Arthur James TAYLOR 1857-1917 of Strensham Court, Worcs. and Annie Mabel c1867-c1922 d of Sir Edward Walter GREENE 1st Bt 1842-1920. He m 1957 (Sylvia) Verity Ann b 1937 reg Q2 Wirral d of William Lee PILKINGTON 1905-96 scion of that gentry family f/o Sutton and (Ethel) Gabrielle ROBINS 1909-91, and had a son and a dau. His son succeeds him:

Major Algernon Joseph Rutherford LAMB, DSO (4 X 1891 - 18 XII 1941) was a scion of the Lamb of Ryton landed gentry family.

Per Burke's Family Index, Taylor of Strensham last appeared in Burke's Landed Gentry in the 1937 edition.
