He was s of Lt-Col John Wilson Seton GALBRAITH 1894-1970 and Dorothy Priscilla 1909-83 d of Maj Percy Henry Guy FEILDEN 1876-1944 scion of that gentry family of Witton Park and Hon Dorothy Louisa BRAND 1878-1958 d of 2 Viscount HAMPDEN (& 24 Baron DACRE) 1841-1906 and Susan Henrietta 1846-1909 d of Lord George Henry CAVENDISH 1810-80 (gs of 1 Earl of BURLINGTON 1754-1834 who was gf of 7 Duke of DEVONSHIRE 1808-91) and Lady Louisa LASCELLES 1812-86 d of 2 Earl of HAREWOOD 1767-1841, etc. He never married.
