From the Telegraph of 14 Oct 2021: CROSBIE DAWSON Thomas died suddenly at home on 8th October 2021, aged 65. Adored husband of Katie for 37 years. Proud and loving father to Lucy, Helen and Bob. Wonderfully jolly grandfather to four boys. He was a generous and funny man who will be greatly missed but will always be remembered with love and laughter. Private cremation. A service to celebrate his happy life will be announced at a later date.
He was s of Maj Robert Clarkson CROSBIE DAWSON 1916-96 scion of the DAWSON gentry family of Langcliffe Hall (and gt gs of Sir Frederick William FRANKLAND 8th Bt 1793-1878 gf of 10th Bt who m Baroness ZOUCHE 1875-1965) and Gillian 1921-87 d of Thomas Alexander SUTTON 1888-1945 (gs of Sir Richard SUTTON 4th Bt 1821-78) and Gwendoline FORSYTH-FORREST 1893-1968. He m 1984 Hon Katherine (Katie) Jane JOICEY b 1959 d of 4th Baron JOICEY 1925-93 and Elisabeth Marion 1928-2003 d of Lt-Col Hon Ian LESLIE-MELVILLE 1894-1967 (s of 13th Earl of LEVEN & 10th Earl of MELVILLE 1835-1906) and Charlotte Isabel STIRLING d 1968, and had a son and two daus.
