From the Telegraph of 11 July 2015: ALLENBY [?ALLANBY] Suddenly, in London on Thursday 2nd July 2015, Charles Allenby, aged 83 years of Balblair, Nairn, Beloved husband of the late Lady Anne Elizabeth Savile, dear mother of Henry and William. Funeral service at St Columba's Episcopal Church, Nairn on Friday 17th July at 2.30pm thereafter to Nairn Cemetery, All friends respectfully invited.

He was head of the Scots gentry family ALLANBY of Balblair, a cadet of which family was cr Viscount ALLENBY in 1919. He m 1964 Lady Anne Sarah Elizabeth SAVILE (1938-80) d of 7th Earl of MEXBOROUGH (1906-80) and Jospehine Bertha Emily (1908-92) d of Andrew Mansel Talbot FLETCHER 10th of Saltoun (1880-1950), sometime head of that Scots gentry family, and Frances Jane (1880-1953, d of Sir Francis Salwey WINNINGTON 5th Bt (1849-1931) and Jane SPENCER-CHURCHILL (c1858-1940) gd of 6th Duke of MARLBOROUGH and 4th Baron CALTHORPE). They had a s Henry Hynman ALLANBY (b 1965) who succeeds his father as head of the family.
