BYRNE - Hon Nona DSG died peacefully on 31st October, aged 90. Beloved wife of Vincent and loving mother to Nicholas, Teresa, Deidre, James, Patrick, Clare, Fiona, Dominic and Rory. Amazing grandmother to twenty five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren who will all greatly miss her. Funeral Service on 12th November at 12 noon at Our Lady of Consolation West Grinstead, Horsham, West Sussex RH13 8LT. She was d of 3rd Baron LAWRENCE (1878-1947) and his 1st w Dorothy Helen CBE (c1880-1935) d of Anthony Pemberton HOBSON of Greenford. She was made a Dame of St Gregory (DSG) in 1997. She m 1945 W/Cdr Vincent George L D BYRNE RAF (1908-78) s of James BYRNE of Malahide, co Dublin. They had five sons and four daus as above. Their 2nd dau, Deirdre Helen, was b Sep 1948 (reg Tonbridge) and died June 1950 (reg Surrey).

The removal of her entry in the family article in the next edition of Debrett's will leave the the 5th and final Baron Lawrence (b 1937, unm) in splendid isolation on the page.
