From the Telegraph of 30 March 2017: BUCHANAN-JARDINE  James died at his home in France on 22nd March. He will be missed. Memorial service date to be announced.

He was s of Sir John William BUCHANAN-JARDINE 3rd Bt (1900-69) and Prudence Audrie HAGGIE (d 2001). He m 1st 1967 (div 1978) Lady Susan Ankaret HOWARD (b 1948) d of Lt-Cdr 11th Earl of CARLISLE (1895-1963) and Esme Mary IREDELL (d 1997) and had a dau Flora Jane (b 1971). He m 2nd 1978 Irmgard Margarethe d of Maj Rudolf BORMANN, and had a further two daus, Claire Isabel (b 1980) and Olivia Rose (b 1982).

His death means there's only one person in line of succession to the baronetcy, that's the present Bt's unm son & ha: James Rupert BUCHANAN-JARDINE (b 1994)
