From the Telegraph of 15 Feb 2025: ROSKILL Nicholas Wentworth died peacefully on 20th January 2025, aged 93. Beloved and devoted husband of Julia, loving father of Edward and Sybil, proud grandfather of Alexander, Bella, Tilman and Connie. Family Funeral at St Giles Church, Camberwell… at 2 p.m. on Monday 10th March. Thanksgiving Service in Southwark Cathedral… at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday 10th April. No flowers please but donations if wished to The Friends of St Giles Church or The Friends of Southwark Cathedral. Enquiries W. Uden & Sons... He was s of Capt Stephen Wentworth ROSKILL 1903-82 (s of John Henry ROSKILL 1860-1940 (who was also f of the LP Baron ROSKILL 1911-96) and Sybil Mary Wentworth 1879-1931 d of Ashton Wentworth DILKE 1850-1883 (s of Sir Charles Wentworth DILKE 1810-69) and Margaret Mary SMITH (5xgt gd of 1^st Viscount STAIR 1619-95 who was f of 1^st Earl of STAIR d 1707)) and Elizabeth Henrietta Charlotte VAN DEN BERGH 1904-83. He m 1965 reg Q2 Hants (Ann) Julia S COOKE, and had a son and a dau:

The Edward Worsfold MOWLL who married Rosa Mary SPANTON was not the Rt Rev Edward Worsfold MOWLL (28 XII 1881 - 12 VI 1964), Suffragan Bishop of Middleton from 1943 to 1952, but his nephew, Edward Worsfold MOWLL (3 VI 1906 - 17 IX 1969). Such confusion can, of course, occur where two members of a family are identically named.

 

Ronald Henry F FOURACRE (31 VII 1932 - 2 VII 1983) was a television producer and director. His second wife (married 2 I 1973, as her first husband) was Eva RUEBER-STAIER (born 20 II 1951), the Austrian actress, model and beauty queen who became Miss Austria and won the Miss World title in 1969.
