From the Telegraph of 28 September 2019: GATHORNE-HARDY Our dear father, Sammy, died on September 19th 2019. Beloved husband of Grace. There will be a Service for him at All Saints Church, Great Glemham, Suffolk ... on October 7th at 2 p.m.

He was s of Surg-Cmdr Hon Anthony Gathorne GATHORNE-HARDY (1907-76, s of 3rd Earl of CRANBROOK (1870-1915) and gs of 7th Earl of GLASGOW (1833-1915) etc etc) and Ruth Elizabeth (1910-73) d of Cmdr Arthur Penton Napier THOROWGOOD (1884-1961) by his 1st m (reg Q3 1907 London) to Agnes Henriette WATTS (1876-1928). He m 1965 (Malaysia) Grace D'CRUZ and had a son and two daus.

marquess, I didn't even bother to go past the younger son of the present Earl.

The Hon Argus has 4 sons, all born in the 21st century: Jack Hector Jarvis (2006), Fergus Hawthorne (2008), Xan Ralph (2011) and Hector Max (2013).
