From the Telegraph and Times of 22 November 2010:

Mr T.G. Montagu-Pollock and Miss S.H. Vaughan
The engagement is announced between Thomas, elder son of Mr and Mrs
Jonathan Montagu-Pollock, of Winterbourne Stoke, Wiltshire, and
Sophia, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Vaughan, of Kensington,
London.

Thomas George (b 1983) is the elder son of Jonathan David MONTAGU-
POLLOCK (b 1947) and Deirdre Clare (b 1952, dau of John Edward BINDING
of Rock, N Cornwall and ____ HODGE). Which Jonathan M-P is the gs of
Sir Montagu Frederick Montagu-Pollock 3rd Bt (1864-1938). The current
baronet's only son and ha was born in 1966 and is unm, and the next
two places in the line of succession are held by Jonathan & Thomas.

I wonder if Miss Sophia H Vaughan is the dau of Thomas Francis (b
1948), scion of the gentry family VAUGHAN of Courtfield? There's no
marriage shown for him in Burke's and a quick search of the Times and
BMD reveals nothing obvious. Any ideas anyone?

I've had an email from Sarah Vaughan, who confirms that Sophia
Henrietta Vaughan (b 1983) is indeed the eldest daughter of Thomas
Francis VAUGHAN (b 1948), as speculated above.
