Anna Wintour's descent from Lady Elizabeth Foster, later Duchess of Devonshire

I have spotted a descent for Vogue editor Anna Wintour from Lady
Elizabeth Foster, later Duchess of Devonshire, daughter of the Bishop-
Earl of Bristol.

Looking at the Wintours descended from Isabel Milnes-Gaskell, there is
a Fitzgerald Wintour, their eldest son, almost certainly the Major-
General Fitzgerald Wintour (b ca 1860) CB, CBE. He married Alice,
sister of Sir (Augustus) Vere Foster, 4th & last Baronet. Both were
descendants of the otherwise undistinguished Sir Augustus Foster, 1st
Bt (1780-1848), 2nd son of Lady Elizabeth Foster, later Duchess of
Devonshire], being the children of

who was father of one son Charles Vere Wintour (1917-1999) [father of
Vogue editor Anna Wintour] and one daughter Cordelia Mary, Lady James
of Rusholme (1912-2007) [mother of a pro Vice-Chancellor of Newcastle
University].
