From the Times of 12 Feb 2021: IMPEY Jane (née Mellanby) died peacefully on 8th February 2021, aged 82, at home. Beloved mother and grandmother. Private funeral service due to Covid; a memorial service will be held at a later date. She was d of Kenneth MELLANBY CBE (1908-93) of Red House, Redbourn, Herts and his 1st w Helen Neilson DOW (1911-2001). She m 1961 Oilver Richard (1933-2006) s of Lawrence Austen IMPEY (1900-88 s of Edward IMPEY (1859-1946, 2xgt gs of Sir John READE 5th Bt (1721-73)) and Katherine AUSTEN-LEIGH (1867-1945) 2xgt gd of Rev George AUSTEN (1731-1805, father of the novelist Jane AUSTEN (1775-1817))) and Joan Marjorie MASON (1907-2003), and had 3 sons and a dau.
