From the Telegraph of 15 November 2019: SCRIMGEOUR  Simon James died peacefully on 10th November 2019 aged 81. Dearly loved husband of Rowena, loving father of Lucilla, Jamie and Timo and stepfather of Clara and Rupert. Proud grandfather of Annie and Chantal and step grandfather of Daisy, Flora, Cleo, Skye, Rafe, Silas and Kipp. Private cremation. Service of Thanksgiving at Trinity Parish Church, Jersey on Monday 13th January at 12.30pm. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the RNLI.

He was s of Stuart SRIMGEOUR (1886-1956) of London SW7 by his 1923 m (reg Q3 Suffolk) to Barbara Lois HUDSON (1899-1991). He m 1961 (as her 1st h, div 1966) Isabella Frances (b 1941) d of Sqn-Ldr Nigel Richard William SEELY (1902-ka1943), scion of the Bts of that name, and Isabella Elinor Margaret (c1914-1957, after m 2nd Edward Bromley-Davenport) d of Eugene von RIEBEN of Capesthorne, Cheshire, and had a dau, Lucilla (b 1963). He m 2nd 2002 (reg Q1 London, Times 29 Jan, her 2nd h) (Gilda) Rowena (b 1946 reg Q2 Lincolnshire, previously Mrs Raymond Barthorp) d of John C B THOMPSON by his c1940 m (reg Q1 Middlesex) to Diana Mary CUMBERLEGE (b 1910).
