_. Gerald Spring Rice, the 6th Baron Monteagle of Brandon (Peerage of the United Kingdon, cr 1839), died at Amesbury, 17 November, 2013. He was 87.

He was born 5 July, 1926, son of the 5th Baron (1887-1946), by his wife the former Emilie de Kosenko (d 1981), and succeeded his father in the peerage, 9 Dec, 1946.

He married 28 May, 1949, Anne, only dau of Col. Guy James Brownlow, by whom he had issue.

Lord Monteagle of Brandon is succeeded by his only son, the Hon Charles James Spring Rice, who was born 24 Feb, 1953. 

Funeral at St Mary & St Melor, Amesbury, Tues 3rd Dec.

The new baron has only daughters so the hp is his uncle, Michael (b. 1935).  He is married with a son, Jonathan, b. 1964.  Jonathan has 2 young sons, b. 2003 and 2004.  They are the only ones is remainder to the title.

The hp to the new Baron is his uncle, Michael, b. 1935.  Michael is married with a son, Jonathan, b. 1964.  Jonathan has 2 young sons, b. 2003 and 2004.  

There is no one else in remainder to this title.
