Per company records, Mrs Diana Marguerite Norreys HOCKIN, née VON BARTH (note the order of her christian names) was born in July 1956. She is one of, it seems, eight daughters of Klaus VON BARTH (1922 - 2010; also at one time known as Nicholas R GOLD), and his wife (married VII 1947), Frances Prudence Edith Rosemary RUSSELL (1925 - 7 IV 2008). The story of how this couple met and married can be found at https://www.frometimes.co.uk/frome-times-past-scandal-at-the-abbey-a-dangerous-liaison/.

Mrs Hockin's mother, née Frances Russell, was the daughter of Cdr Geoffrey Philip RUSSELL (2 XI 1881 - 26 VI 1965) and his wife, Noel Theodora Brougham HINSHELWOOD (11 XII 1891 - 1975). Cdr Russell was a son of John Thomas Norreys RUSSELL (26 VII 1842 - 7 VIII 1915) and his wife, Isabella Margaret Parker DEANE (16 IX 1847 - 7 VIII 1940), who was the youngest daughter of the Rt Hon Sir James Parker DEANE (25 VI 1812 -3 I 1902), of that family, formerly of Eastcote, which, per Burke's Family Index, last appeared in Burke's Landed Gentry (LG) in the 1952 edition.

Cdr Geoffrey Russell's grandfather, Francis Richard RUSSELL (3 VI 1800 - 30 VIII 1871) was MP (Whig, then Liberal) for Limerick City from 1852 until his death. His great-grandfather, John Norris RUSSELL (1774? - 30 IV 1859), was a son of Francis RUSSELL (c.1735 - 25 VIII 1800) and his wife, Elizabeth NORRIS (1736 - 1813), who was herself a daughter of John NORRIS (1713 - 1793) and his wife, Anne MAUNSELL (1718 - 1799), of that LG family.
