William Greenhow Nicholls d. at Poole, Dorset; he was 2nd Lt, R.A.P.C. (WWII). His father was William James Nicholls (1866-), of Birkenhead, file warehouseman, who m. 1899, Sarah (1862-), dau. of William Greenhow (1829-), of Birkenhead, ship carpenter. The marriage record gives W. J. Nicholls as s. of Charles Nicholls; I haven't had any success locating the family in earlier census records.

William Ewart Chambers Thomas was of Windy Barn, 158, Mottram Old Road, Stalybridge, Cheshire, per his probate record.
