Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Butler,_17th_Viscount_Mountgarret provides the following information:

Hon. Edmund Henry Richard Butler (b. 1 September 1962), married Adella I Lloyd, daughter of M. Lloyd, of New York City, in 1988 and divorced in 1989.
      * Hon. Tara Sequoia Butler (b. 2 June 1997

Something is obviously wrong.

The existence of Tara is questionable.  As we know she would not be entitled to the courtesy of Hon.

She is not listed in Debrett's Online, and after careful inspection of the edit history, it looks like her name was added in 2020 by an IP editor - their one and only edit.

For what it's worth:  the marriage is "legitimate", appearing in the last print edition of DPB, but the couple is shown as childless.

Given the address provided for E. Butler in Burke's Peerage 2003, that being Roberts Creek, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, it appears a 'Tara Butler' DOES exist, although the details remain unclear; an Edmund Butler of Roberts Creek is a woodworker and furniture designer, and to his social media is connected a Tara Butler, who from the images available matches the appearance of someone born in 1997 as the Wikipedia details stated; further, in a Roberts Creek community Facebook group, there was a discussion/ gallery of local cabins, and one previously owned by E. Butler, under which post a comment reads 'sad to see it leave the family. Tara was looking forward to raising her children there. A wonderful place to grow up.' These points are suggestive. Whether she be a daughter from the recorded marriage- however unlikely such would appear given the evident dates involved- or a stepdaughter from a later marriage, or adopted, appears impossible to establish with available resources. The IP address that added the details of Tara Butler to the Wikipedia article linked above was located in Maple Ridge, Vancouver,  around 100 km from Roberts Creek; a reasonable conclusion therefore is that one of the individuals under discussion added said details.
