Hubert Grace Phipps, sculptor, painter and former racecar driver, grandson of the 7th Earl of Radnor and an heir to the vast American Phipps steel fortune, died in an accident on his farm in Middleburg, Virginia, June 18, 2023. Born Nov. 1, 1957, he was the son of Hubert Beaumont Phipps (1905-69) and Lady Phoebe (Pleydell-Bouverie) Phipps (1932-94), and the grandson of William, 7th Earl of Radnor (1895-1968) and the former Helena Olivia Adeane (1902-85). Survivors include his sister, Melissa Adeane (Phipps) Gray (1955) of New Orleans, Louisiana, a nephew Justin Phipps Boyce and a niece Emma Bouverie Boyce.
