From the Times of 9 Jan 2026: JONES Ann Pye (née Chavasse) passed away peacefully at Heartland Manor Care Home, Brockenhurst, on Saturday 20th December 2025, aged 92. Widow of the late Dr Norman Jones. Greatly missed by her sons Christopher, Richard and Michael and her grandchildren. She was d of Charles Cecil Howard CHAVASSE 1895-1971 (s of Robert Charles CHAVASSE c1868-1949 by his 4 Oct 1893 m (St Barnabas, Erdington, Warks) to Elsie Madeline YATES 1870-1956 > s of Charles Edward CHAVASSE 1840-93 (wine merchant) > s of Charles CHAVASSE 1800-84 > s of Nicholas Willett CHAVASSE 1763-1803 > s of William CHAVASSE 1736-94 sometime head of that Irish gentry family by his wife Sarah STEPHENS dau of Hannah PYE) by his 1925 m reg Q4 London to Mabel Caroline JACKSON 1899-1987. She m 1958 Norman Fielding JONES 1931-2021 (Who’s Who), and had three sons as above.
