From the Telegraph online:

BUTLER
Lady Margaret died peacefully on 22nd May 2018, aged 87. Beloved wife of Jim, much loved mother to Liz, Sue and David and grandmother to William, Adam, Tom and Ben. Funeral at St Mary’s Church, Crawley, Winchester on Wednesday 6th June at 10.30 a.m. and afterwards at home. No flowers thank you, donations if desired to Crawley Church Fund c/o Richard Steel & Partners of Winchester.

She is most likely to be of interest to our group, but I cannot settle on a possible candidate. Any ideas?

I agree she sounds like she should be of interest. But I had a thorough search this morning and couldn't find her in any of the families of whom we treat.

Sir James Butler, who was senior partner of Peat Marwick in the late 1980s and early 1990s, is usually known as Jim and is in his late 80s now.   A look at Google gives his address as a company director as Crawley, Winchester too,   So it seems very likely that this lady was his wife; but I don't know if his wife is/was called Margaret, still less if she was actually Lady Butler rather than Lady Margaret.

according to Vat-Search, they are Sir Percy James Butler and Lady Margaret Prudence Butler.   http://vat-search.co.uk/Hz*T_SIR+Percy+James+Butler+&+Lady+Margaret+Prudence+Butler.  I couldn't find them in the Peerage.com website.
