NOTE: Debrett's has for some time been mis-spelling both his forename and his surname. It is "Harlie", not "Harley", and "Linley", not "Lindley". I don't know when Debrett's started spelling them incorrectly, but Burke's early 2000s edition has them spelled correctly.

He joined the United States Air Force as soon as he graduated from high school and served for over 28 years. Actually, Burke's has the surname correctly, but does call hm "Harley".
